Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one's entire body to move through water. The sport takes place in pools or open water (e.g., in a sea or lake). Competitive swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with varied distance events in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and individual medley. In addition to these individual events, four swimmers can take part in either a freestyle or medley relay. A medley relay consists of four swimmers who will each swim a different stroke, ordered as backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle. Éva Risztov
Éva Risztov (; born 30 August 1985) is a Hungarian Olympic gold medalist female swimmer. She won four silver medals at the 2002 European Aquatics Championships and three silver medals at the 2003 World Aquatics Championships. She won a further silver medal at the 2004 European Aquatics Championships and competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics where she came 4th in 400 m individual medley. At the European Short Course Swimming Championships she won six gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal between 2002 and 2004. She retired in 2005, but announced her comeback in 2009 as an open water swimmer and she competed at the 2010 European Aquatics Championships in Women's 10 km where she came 7th.
