Karl-Heinz Weber (30 January 1922 – 7 June 1944) was a Luftwaffe flying ace of World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, the highest award in the military and paramilitary forces of Nazi Germany during World War II. Weber was credited with 136 aerial victories—that is, 136 aerial combat encounters resulting in the destruction of the enemy aircraft. All his victories were claimed over the Eastern Front in over 500 combat missions. Career Weber, the son of a ''Reichsbahn-Sekretär'', was born on 30 January 1922 in Heringsdorf in the province of Pomerania, a Free State of Prussia. Karl Ivanovich Weber
Karl Ivanovich Weber (also Carl von Waeber; russian: Карл Иванович Вебер, – 8 January 1910) was a diplomat of the Russian Empire and a personal friend to King Gojong of Korea's Joseon Dynasty. He is best known for his 1885–1897 service as Russia's first consul general to Korea. Early life and career Weber was born to a middle-class family, and expressed an interest in the history of Asia from an early age. He graduated from the University of Saint Petersburg in 1865, and joined the diplomatic service the following year. His first overseas posting was in Beijing; he was named Russian Consul in Tianjin in 1882. In Korea Weber signed the Treaty of Amity and Commerce between Russia and Korea on 25 June 1884, and moved to Seoul in April of the following year as Russia's first official representative to Korea. Karl Jakob Weber
Karl Jakob Weber (12 August 1712 – 1764) was a Swiss architect and engineer who was in charge of the first organized excavations at Herculaneum, Pompeii and Stabiae, under the patronage of Charles VII of Naples. At first a soldier and military engineer, he joined the excavations in 1749. His detailed drawings provided some of the basis for the luxurious royal folios of ''Le Antichità di Ercolano esposte'', by means of which the European intelligentsia became aware of the details of what was being recovered. Weber's unwilling collaborator was Roque de Alcubierre, previously in charge of the excavations, whose treasure-hunting technique provided the fine bronzes and other works of art that kept royal patronage stimulated. Alcubierre was jealous of Weber, whose system of excavating whole rooms with a concern for context makes him a heroic forerunner of today's architectural profession, and attempted to sabotage Weber's work. Karl W. Weber (born November 17, 1996) is an American former professional stock car racing driver and current author. Early life Weber was born in Ambia, Indiana on November 17, 1996, and grew up on his family's farm where he would work on the weekdays. Racing career Weber first started racing in Sportsman class cars in New Castle, Indiana. He would then compete in numerous national karting series before racing in super late models. Weber would make his ARCA Racing Series debut in 2013 at the age of sixteen. He would drive the No. 3 Chevrolet for RACE 101 in two races that season at Madison International Speedway, where he would finish eleventh, and at Iowa Speedway, where he would finish last due to a crash on the second lap of the race. Karl Otto Weber (29 December 1827 – 11 June 1867) was a German surgeon and pathologist born in Frankfurt am Main. Biography He received his early education in the gymnasium at Bremen which his father directed. There Weber showed a special interest in the natural sciences, and in 1846, when he went on to the University of Bonn, he studied botany, geology and mineralogy with an emphasis on paleontological botany. As a student at Bonn, he was a member of the Burschenschaft Franconia, which at that time also included Carl Schurz, Johannes Overbeck, Julius Schmidt, Friedrich Spielhagen, Ludwig Meyer and Adolf Strodtmann. In 1851, he received a degree of doctor of medicine and surgery from Bonn. After passing his state exam in 1852, he left for a study trip, most of which was spent in Paris.
