Karl The Butcher Vs. Axe
''Karl the Butcher vs. Axe'' is a 2010 horror comedy film directed by Andreas Schnaas and Timo Rose. It is the fifth appearance of Schnaas' Karl the Butcher character, the lead antagonist in his ''Violent Shit'' film series. Plot 2023 and Karl the Butcher Jr (Schnaas) returns from hell after 25 years, and is on a mission to kill a new mass murderer, Axe (Rose). The world he returns to, however, is in devastation, with civilization split between violent factions: the Gang Loco, The Others, the tyrant Queen Scara, The Black Monks, and the nomadic Axe and his sister Vendetta, whose family history is unknown. Andreas Schnaas
Andreas Schnaas (born 1 April 1968) is a German director and actor working exclusively in the horror film, horror genre. Since he first appeared on the film scene in 1989, he has become a leader in Germany's ultra-violent German underground horror, low-budget horror film industry. He was the first in a series of maverick directors making underground movies who began a sustained revival of German horror cinema post World War II. Early life Schnaas was born in Hamburg and embraced cinema at a very young age. Since many of the local theaters in his city did not care about how young their patrons were, he was exposed to violent Martial arts film, martial arts, zombie films, and Splatter film, splatter very early on in his life. Schnaas' parents were not always pleased with his choice of entertainment, but recognized his artistic talents and vivid imagination. Timo Rose
Timo Rose (born 22 February 1977), also known as King Hannibal, is a German horror and science fiction filmmaker and founder of the production company Sword of Independence Filmworks (later Germaica/Rosecalypse Films and Records). Films Rose is best known for his ''Mutation'' trilogy, which involves a toxic chemical created by Nazis and rediscovered in modern times. The second and third chapters in this film trilogy were re-edited in 2006 into an FX-heavy "special edition" entitled ''Mutation: Annihilation''. A large majority of his earlier FX work was done by German director/effects technician and close friend Olaf Ittenbach, although Rose currently does most of his own under his "Rosecalypse SFX" banner. Violent Shit
''Violent Shit'' is a 1989 West German horror film written and directed by Andreas Schnaas. Plot A young boy named Karl Berger (a surname given in the sequel) murders his abusive mother with a meat cleaver after she beats him for returning home late. Twenty years later, in the mid-1970s, the imprisoned Karl is being transported to an unspecified location by the police, but manages to kill his captors and escape into the wilderness, somehow acquiring a cleaver in the process. Over the course of several days, Karl commits a series of murders across the countryside, mutilating and occasionally cannibalizing his victims.
