Karl Sverre Klevstad
Karl Sverre Klevstad (29 June 1926 – 11 May 2023) was a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party. Biography Klevstad was born in Borge Municipality on 29 June 1926. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Nordland Nordland (; smj, Nordlánnda, sma, Nordlaante, sme, Nordlánda, en, Northland) is a county in Norway in the Northern Norway region, the least populous of all 11 counties, bordering Troms og Finnmark in the north, Trøndelag in the south, N ... in 1973, and was re-elected on one occasion. He served as a deputy representative during the term 1981–1985. On the local level Klevstad was a member of the municipal council of Vestvågøy Municipality from 1971 to 1975, and later served as mayor there from 1987 to 1991. The Christian Democratic Party ( nb, Kristelig Folkeparti, nn, Kristeleg Folkeparti, se, Risttalaš Álbmotbellodat, , KrF) is a Christian-democratic political party in Norway founded in 1933. The party is an observer member of the European People's Party (EPP). It currently holds three seats in the Parliament, having won 3.8% of the vote in the 2021 parliamentary election. Borge Municipality (Nordland)
Borge is a former municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until 1963. It was located on the northern part of the island of Vestvågøya in what is now Vestvågøy Municipality. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Bøstad where Borge Church is located. Other villages in the municipality included Borg, Knutstad, and Tangstad. Prior to its dissolution in 1963, the municipality was the 379th largest by area out of the 705 municipalities in Norway. Nordland ( smj, Nordlánnda; sma, Nordlaante; se, Nordlánda) is one of the 19 multi-member constituencies of the Storting, the national legislature of Norway. Vestvågøy is a municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Lofoten. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Leknes.
