Karl Blumauer
Karl Blumauer, real name Johann Gottfried Bernhard, (1785 – 15 January 1841) was a theatre actor, singer (bass), and writer of children's literature from the Austrian Empire. Life Born in Brünn, Blumauer was a celebrated performer at the time in Ifflandscher fathers' roles. He transferred his main activity to the Mannheim, Meininger and Weimar court theatres. At the time of the latter engagement, he drafted a plan for a general support fund for actors in association with the well-known actor Karl Ludwig Oels, with the aim of giving the stage members an independent position vis-à-vis the directors. The latter were extremely angry about this, so that they concluded a kind of tacit cartel among themselves to never engage Blumauer again. August Wilhelm Iffland
August Wilhelm Iffland (19 April 175922 September 1814) was a German actor and dramatic author. Life Born in Hanover, his father intended him to be a clergyman, but Iffland preferred the stage, and at eighteen ran away to Gotha in order to prepare himself for a theatrical career. He received instruction from Hans Ekhof, and made such rapid progress that he was able to accept an engagement at the theater in Mannheim in 1779, beginning his rise into prominence. In Mannheim, he played the lead role ''Franz Moor'' in the acclaimed premiere of Friedrich Schiller's The Robbers in 1782. He soon stood high in his profession, and enhanced his reputation by frequently playing in other towns. Minona Frieb-Blumauer (11 May 1816 – 31 July 1886) was a German actress and singer. Life Born in Stuttgart, Minona (''actually Johanna'') Frieb-Blumauer was the daughter of the actor Karl Blumauer, with whom she received her first lessons.
