Karingal is a local area within the suburb of Frankston located in Melbourne, Victoria in Australia. It is in the local government area of the City of Frankston (app. 45 km South East from the Melbourne CBD). The locality has no predefined borders, but it is generally accepted as the region between Ashleigh AvenueThe Pines Flora and Fauna Reserveand west of the Mornington Peninsula Freeway. Wilbraham Frederick Evelyn Liardet (17 July 179921 March 1878), was an Australian hotelier, water-colour artist and historian, who was responsible for the early development of Port Melbourne.
