Karin Iten
Karin Iten (11 August 1956 – 18 May 2010) was a Swiss figure skater. She won the bronze medal at the 1973 European Figure Skating Championships. She died on 18 May 2010 in Winterthur from the effects of diabetes. Richmond Trophy
The Richmond Trophy was an international figure skating competition for ladies' singles held annually from 1949 to 1980 at the Richmond Ice Rink in Twickenham, London. It was the only invitational international competition (as opposed to the ISU Championships) held on a regular basis in the post-war years. The competition was sponsored by the National Skating Association and was largely due to the activity of Arnold Gerschwiler, coach of many champions at the Richmond rink. Marie-Theres Nadig (born 8 March 1954) is a retired Swiss alpine skier. Biography Aged 17, she won gold medals in the downhill and giant slalom events at the 1972 Winter Olympics. During her career, Nadig won 24 world cup races and had 57 podium finishes. At the 1980 Winter Olympics, she was third in the downhill event. After retiring from competitions, between 1999 and 2005 she worked as a national coach. Career Nadig won her first major competition in 1970, the giant slalom at the Swiss Junior Championships.
