Karidja Touré
Karidja Touré (born 14 February 1994) is a French actress best known for starring in the film '' Girlhood''. Life and career Karidja Touré was born in the Paris Suburb of Bondy, France, the daughter of an estate agent and a childcare worker. Both of Touré's parents are from the Ivory Coast. She grew up in the 15th arrondissement of Paris and is a practising Muslim. Touré was in her first year of an assistant management programme when she was scouted by a casting director while at an amusement park for Céline Sciamma's film '' Girlhood''. For her work in the film she was nominated for a César Award for Most Promising Actress. Bondy
Bondy () is a commune in the northeastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located from the centre of Paris, in the Seine-Saint-Denis department. In 2019, it had a population of 54,587. Name The name Bondy was recorded for the first time around AD 600 as ''Bonitiacum'', meaning "estate of Bonitius", a Gallo-Roman landowner. History During the Middle Ages, Bondy was mostly forest, and the forest of Bondy was a well-known haunt of bandits and robbers and was considered extremely dangerous. On 3 January 1905, a third of the territory of Bondy was detached and became the commune of Les Pavillons-sous-Bois. On 30 October 2007, a gas explosion killed one person and injured 47 people. Cédric Klapisch ( ; born 4 September 1961) is a French film director, screenwriter and producer. Life and career Klapisch was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine. He is from a Jewish family; his maternal grandparents were deported to Auschwitz. He studied cinema at the University of Paris III: Sorbonne Nouvelle as well as at the University of Paris VIII. He was rejected on two occasions by the French film school IDHEC (Institut des hautes études cinématographiques), now known as La fémis. He later attended the film school at New York University from 1983 to 1985. During the 1980s, he started to shoot short films such as ''In transit'' or ''Ce qui me meut''.
