Kari Martonen
Kari Martonen (born 13 March 1963) is a Finnish football manager and former player. As a player, he played in total of 248 matches and scored 22 goals for HJK and FC Haka. After retiring as a player, he started working as a youth coach at his former club Haka and soon became the assistant manager under Olli Huttunen. In 2006, he became the assistant manager under Mika Lehkosuo at FC Honka. In November 2009 as Ville Priha was sacked from JJK, Martonen took over as a head coach, signing a three-year contract with JJK. Valkeakoski (; lit. "white rapids") is a town and municipality in Finland. It is located south of Tampere, north of Hämeenlinna and north of Helsinki in the Pirkanmaa region. Mestaruussarja
Mestaruussarja (Championship series) was the top division of Finland, Finnish association football, football from 1930 to 1989. It was replaced by Veikkausliiga in 1990. In 1930 league format was used for the first time to decide the Finnish champion. Before that from 1908 to 1929 the championship was decided with cup competition. The league was dominated by clubs from Helsinki, Turku and Vyborg. The first champion was HIFK, HIFK Fotboll from Helsinki. In 1935 four best clubs were from Helsinki and in 1934 and 1936 top three clubs also came from Helsinki. From 1908 to 1940 the championship went outside Helsinki on only six occasions. Kuopio was the first inland city to get into the league when Koparit, Pallotoverit were promoted in 1938. 2011 Veikkausliiga
The 2011 Veikkausliiga was the 81st season of top-tier football in Finland. It began on 2 May 2011 and ended on 29 October 2011. HJK were the defending champions and successfully defended their title. The pre-season was severely affected by license revocations to two teams, which eventually resulted in a later than originally scheduled begin date and an increase of scheduled matches from 26 to 33 per team. Teams The league was originally supposed to have 14 teams, but AC Oulu was refused a license due to club's bad economic situation and Tampere United was excluded from every official competition of Football Association of Finland due to breaking the rules of the association, and the league will therefore be played with only 12 teams. AC Oulu was, however, obtained a license for Ykkönen, where it will play this season. FC Lahti were relegated to Ykkönen after finishing at the bottom of the 2010 season. The 2010 Veikkausliiga was the 80th season of top-tier football in Finland. It began on 16 April 2010 and ended on 23 October 2010. Teams RoPS finished at the bottom of the 2009 season and were relegated to Ykkönen. Their place was taken by Ykkönen champions AC Oulu. 13th-placed Veikkausliiga team JJK and Ykkönen runners-up KPV competed in a two-legged relegation play-offs for one spot in this season.
