Karera Assembly Constituency
Karera is one of the 230 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Madhya Pradesh state in central India. This constituency is reserved for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes. This constituency came into existence in 1951, as one of the 79 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the erstwhile Madhya Bharat state. This constituency covers the entire Karera tehsil and part of Narwar tehsil of the district. Personal life She is married to Lakhanlal Khatik and has three sons and one daughter. 2013 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
A Legislative Assembly election was held on 25 November 2013 in Madhya Pradesh, India, with the result announced on 8 December. Along with four other state assembly elections, these were the first elections in which the Election Commission of India (ECI) implemented a "None of the above" (NOTA) voting option, allowing the electorate to register a neutral vote but not to outright reject candidates. Vijaya Raje Scindia
Vijaya Raje Scindia (12 October 1919 – 25 January 2001), born Lekha Divyeshwari Devi and known popularly as the Rajmata of Gwalior, was a prominent Indian political personality. In the days of the British Raj, as consort of the last ruling Maharaja of Gwalior, Jivajirao Scindia, she ranked among the highest royal figures of the land. Elections to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held in February 1967. These were the elections to the legislative assembly having 296 seats in undivided Madhya Pradesh. Govind Narayan Singh was elected to the assembly as an Indian National Congress candidate but soon rebelled against the incumbent Chief Minister, Dwarka Prasad Mishra and resigned from the Congress party. He formed a new political party, known as the ''Lok Sewak Dal'' and became the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh as the leader of a coalition, known as the Samyukta Vidhayak Dal.
