Karen Sogn, née Thaugland (28 April 1931 – 21 October 2013) was a Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party. She was elected to the Parliament of Norway from Vestfold in 1977, and was re-elected in 1981 to serve until 1985. She had previously served as a deputy representative during the term 1973–1977. The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. Vestfold
Vestfold is a traditional region, a former county and a current electoral district in Eastern Norway. In 2020 the county became part of the much larger county of Vestfold og Telemark. Located on the western shore of the Oslofjord, it bordered the previous Buskerud and Telemark counties. The county administration was located in Tønsberg, Norway's oldest city, and the largest city is Sandefjord. With the exception of the city-county of Oslo, Vestfold was the smallest county in Norway by area. Lardal
Lardal () is a former municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Svarstad. The parish of ''Laurdal'' was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The municipality was divided into the parishes of Svarstad, Styrvoll, and Hem. As a part of Norway's nationwide municipal reform, Lardal was merged into Larvik on 1 January 2018.
