Karen DeSalvo
Karen Bollinger DeSalvo (born August 4, 1966) is an American business executive, physician and public health expert. She has been Google’s chief health officer since 2019. Previously, she served as the Acting Assistant Secretary for Health, National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, and Director of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). Career DeSalvo received her MD and MPH from Tulane University, and subsequently served as Vice Dean for Community Affairs and Health Policy there. DeSalvo served as New Orleans Health Commissioner from 2011 until 2014, and New Orleans Mayor Mitchell Landrieu’s Senior Health Policy Advisor. Sylvia Mary Burwell (; born June 23, 1965) is an American government and non-profit executive who has been the 15th president of American University since June 1, 2017. Burwell is the first woman to serve as the university's president. Burwell earlier served as the 22nd United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. The Dell Medical School is the graduate medical school of The University of Texas at Austin in Austin, Texas. The school opened to the inaugural class of 50 students in the summer of 2016 as the newest of 18 colleges and schools on the UT Austin campus. S.
