Karan Sharma (actor)
Karan Romesh Sharma (born 26 October 1981) is an Indo-Mauritian actor. His first and only film to date was released in 2005 Bollywood film '' Dil Jo Bhi Kahey...'' starring opposite Amitabh Bachchan which was directed and co-produced by his father Romesh Sharma. In 2003, he did a Mauritian series ''C'est la vie'', which was telecast in Mauritius. Personal life He is the son of Indian film producer Romesh Sharma. He was married to Aliksha Anand, the daughter of Indian film director Mukul S. Anand. He is currently married to Indu Kumar Sharma, the daughter of Rakesh Sharma, director of films such as ''Mr. Natwarlal'', ''Do Aur Do Paanch'', '' Khoon Pasina'' and '' Yaarana'' among others. Ustad Amjad Ali Khan (born 9 October 1945) is an Indian classical ''sarod'' player, best known for his clear and fast ekhara taans. Khan was born into a classical musical family and has performed internationally since the 1960s. He was awarded India's second highest civilian honor Padma Vibhushan in 2001. Career and recognition Khan first performed in the United States in 1963 and continued into the 2000s, with his sons. He has experimented with modifications to his instrument throughout his career. Khan played with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and worked as a visiting professor at the University of New Mexico. ''Yaarana'' () previously titled ''Yaar Mera'' is a 1981 Indian musical drama film directed by Rakesh Kumar, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Amjad Khan, Neetu Singh, Tanuja, and Kader Khan. The plot of the film is based on Karna and Duryodhana’s friendship from the Mahabharata. This was one of the films where Amjad Khan plays a positive role. Nearly all of his other films with Amitabh Bachchan have been had him playing a villain role. One of the highlights of the film was its music by Rajesh Roshan and lyrics by Anjaan. Three songs, "Chhookar Mere Mann Ko," "Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan," and "Saara Zamana Haseeno Ka Deewana", all sung by Kishore Kumar, were super-hits and are still loved.
