Karagul
''Karagül'' (English title: ''Black Rose'') is a Turkish romantic drama series that broadcast on Fox Turkey between March 29, 2013 and June 10, 2016. Plot Ebru and Murat have three children. One day the wife, Ebru, receives the news that her husband has disappeared by falling into a river in Halfeti, his hometown. From that moment, her life changes radically. She finds out that her husband has lost all family assets and mortgaged his assets. Ebru moves to Halfeti to find her husband's body. There she is alone and without money, she also discovers that her husband had a first wife. In that place, she will have to deal with Kendal, the family first-born who was always jealous of Murat because he wanted to be the sole heir of the family; however, Kendal does not have a child who can continue with his legacy since the only one he has is disabled. İlayda Çevik (born 22 December 1994) is a Turkish actress. She is best known for playing Maya in the television series, ''Karagül''. Çevik was born in Balikesir. Yavuz Bingöl
Yavuz Bingöl (born 7 October 1964) is a Turkish folk music singer and actor. Early life Bingöl was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1964 to teacher Yılmaz Bingöl and folk singer Senem Akkaş (better known with her stage name Şahsenem Bacı), both hailing from Sarıkamış district. Music career Bingöl enrolled at the Ankara State Conservatory in 1977 under influence from his mother but following his parents' divorce, he left the Conservatory in 1979 and moved to İzmir where his mother settled and started to work in menial jobs to support his family. He could return to music only by 1983 and founded with his friend Nihat Aydın the protest music band Atmacalar in 1989. The band changed its name to Umuda Ezgi in 1991. Bingöl left the band in 1995 and released his first solo album ''Sen Türkülerini Söyle'' the same year. Halfeti
Halfeti ( ku, Xelfêtî) is a town and district on the east bank of the river Euphrates in Şanlıurfa Province in Turkey, from the city of Şanlıurfa. Population (2000 census) 33,467 (of which 2,608 were in the town of Halfeti, the majority being in the surrounding villages). Most of the villages were submerged in the 1990s under the waters behind the dam on the Euphrates at Birecik. The town was therefore moved to the village of Karaotlak. Halfeti was the subject of an internet urban legend wherein the town was the only location on Earth where black roses grew. Post-dam settlement As part of the Southeastern Anatolia Project, aka GAP, several dams were constructed in the area and surrounding regions as part of a larger agricultural and economic initiative by the Turkish Government.
