Karadoc Solar Farm
Karadoc Solar Farm is a photovoltaic power station south of Mildura near the town of Iraak in Victoria, Australia. It can generate up to 112MW of electricity, and was designed by BayWa r.e. Solar. It was officially opened in March 2019. The solar farm is on a site of and was built by Beon Energy Solutions with first generation in November 2018. It has an offtake agreement to provide 74,000 MWh per year of electricity to Carlton & United Breweries Carlton & United Breweries (CUB) is an Australian brewing company based in Melbourne and owned by Japanese conglomerate Asahi Breweries. Iraak
Iraak is a locality in Victoria, Australia, located approximately 35 km south-east of Mildura, Victoria. Iraak and nearby localities Nangiloc and Iraan were established as soldier settlement farming areas after World War I, road access to the area being from the west via Boonoonar on what is now the Calder Highway. The Post Office opened on 22 September 1922 the same day as that of Nangiloc, closing in 1960. The Karadoc Solar Farm opened in the locality of Iraak in late 2018.
