Kara (South Korean Group)
Kara (Hangul: 카라, Japanese: カラ, often stylized as KARA) is a South Korean pop girl group formed by DSP Media in 2007. The group's final lineup was composed of Gyuri, Seungyeon, Hara and Youngji. Members Nicole and Jiyoung officially departed from the group in 2014, but rejoined the group for their 15th anniversary in 2022, while ex-member Sunghee left in 2008. ''Rock U'' (also known as ''Kara 1st Mini Album'') is the first extended play by South Korean girl group Kara. It was released on July 25, 2008. ''Rock U'' was released as the lead single. This was also the first album to feature the two new members of the group; Kang Jiyoung and Goo Hara, following the departure of former member Kim Sunghee. It was first released in Japanese on September 5, 2012 in four different editions: two CD+DVD, a Regular edition and a digital Deluxe edition. A Korean edition, titled as ''KARA Solo Collection'', was released on November 30, 2012 digitally and December 4, 2012 physically. The songs were performed in Korean language.
