''Kappiri Thuruthu'' is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language romantic drama musical film written and directed by debutant Saheer Ali. The film features Adil Ibrahim, Pearle Maaney and Siddique in the lead roles. It is based on the past era and events happened at Kochi when it was under the rule of Dutch and then British. Adil Ibrahim (born 6 February) is an Indian actor, radio jockey, television host and model. In 2014, he debuted in Sanjeev Sivan's Malayalam movie, ''Endless Summer''. Apart from acting, he is well known for hosting the shows ''D 4 Dance'' and ''Still Standing'' on Mazhavil Manorama. Early life Adil Ibrahim has his roots at Tirur, Malappuram, Kerala, India. Gopalakrishnan Padmanabhan Pillai, better known by his stage name Dileep, is an Indian actor, producer, and businessman who predominantly works in the Malayalam film industry. Vayalar Ramavarma (March 25, 1928 – October 27, 1975), also known as Vayalar, was an Indian poet and lyricist of Malayalam language. He was known for his poems which include ''Sargasangeetham'', ''Mulankaadu'', ''Padamudrakal'', ''Aayisha'' and ''Oru Judas janikkunnu'' and for around 1300 songs he penned for 256 Malayalam films.
