Chainat Province
Chai Nat ( th, ชัยนาท, ) is one of the central provinces (''changwat'') of Thailand. Neighbouring provinces are (from north clockwise) Nakhon Sawan, Sing Buri, Suphan Buri, and Uthai Thani. The town of Chai Nat is 188 km north of Bangkok. Geography Chai Nat is on the flat river plain of central Thailand's Chao Phraya River valley. In the south of the province the Chao Phraya Dam (formerly Chai Nat Dam) impounds the Chao Phraya River, both for flood control as well as to divert water into the country's largest irrigation system for the irrigation of rice paddies in the lower river valley. The dam, part of the Greater Chao Phraya Project, was finished in 1957 and was the first dam constructed in Thailand. The total forest area is or 2.6 percent of provincial area. Thikamporn Ritta-apinan ( th, ฑิฆัมพร ฤทธิ์ธาอภินันท์; ; nicknamed "Cheer", ; born 12 August 1987 in Bangkok) is a Thai actress. She starred in several television shows of Thai Channel 7 (Thailand), Channel 7. Early life and education Cheer is 170 centimeters tall and weighs 53 kilograms. She has three brothers. After graduating from Secondary 4 at Sueksa Naree School, she entered the entertainment world by winning the 2002 Miss Teen Thailand competition. Channel 9 (Thailand)
MCOT HD (in Thailand called Channel 9 MCOT HD th, ช่อง 9 เอ็มคอตเอชดี) is a Thai free-to-air television network launched on 24 June 1955 and owned by MCOT. History The channel was originally launched as Channel 4 Bang Khun Phrom (ช่อง 4 บางขุนพรหม) with test transmissions beginning on 6 September 1954 and beginning formal broadcasts on 24 June 1955. The then new channel operated under the management of the Thai Television Company (founded 1952). The channel began to broadcast daily in 1957. In 1974, the channel migrated from broadcasting in black-and-white at 525-lines on VHF channel 4 to a colour using a 625-line system on VHF channel 9 (the second in Southeast Asia).
