Kantana Group is a production company established in Bangkok, Thailand in 1951 by Pradit and Somsook Kaljaruek. Kantana took its first step from radio dramas to films, television dramas, variety programs, and eventually moved on to become an integrated entertainment company. History Kantana began in 1951 as a radio drama troupe founded by Pradit and Somsook Kaljaruek. The company branched out into television in 1958 with the drama series ''Ying Kor Mee Hua Jai''. ''RuPaul's Drag U'' (as in "Drag University") is an American reality television series that debuted July 19, 2010, on Logo TV. Its final episode aired in August 2012. It was hosted by RuPaul and a team of drag queen "professors". ''Drag U'' was a spin-off (media), spin-off of ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. RuPaul confirmed on May 8, 2013 via Twitter that the series had been cancelled. Format In each episode of ''RuPaul's Drag U'' three women are given Drag (clothing), drag makeovers and taught to access their "inner divas". ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' is an American reality competition television series, the first in the ''Drag Race'' franchise, produced by World of Wonder for Logo TV (season 1–8), WOW Presents Plus, VH1 (season 9–14) and, beginning with the fifteenth season, MTV. The show documents RuPaul in the search for "America's next drag superstar". ''Drag Race Thailand'' is a Thai reality competition show based on the American version with RuPaul. The series was licensed by the Kantana Group and premiered on 15 February 2018. The show is hosted by fashion stylist Art Arya, while drag performer Pangina Heals co-hosts. In November 2022, O4 Media acquired the series from Kantana Group as part of the ''Drag Race'' franchise's expansion into other parts of Asia, including neighboring country Singapore. ''The Switch Drag Race'' is a Chilean reality competition television series, presented by Mega as a Chilean version of the hit American show ''RuPaul's Drag Race''.
