Kanne Madanguka
''Kanne Madanguka'' is a 2005 Malayalam language film directed by Alberrt Antoni. This is one of the seven Malayalam films that won a place in the Indian Panorama 2005. Navya Nair won the Kerala State Film Award for her portrayal of Karunya. Baby Neeraja who played Sowmya also won the state award for best child artist. This film was also opened to a full house at IFFI 2005. Plot One day while Bhagyanathan is lying in a cot in the verandah of his hut, his two daughters Karunya and Sowmya come in the morning to say bye while they are going out and his eyes swell with tears. This is because Sowmya is going to school while Karunya, who was the rank holder in her class is going to work in a small weaving company owned by a relative. Alberrt Antoni is an Indian film director. His debut film as a director is critically acclaimed ''Kanne Madanguka'' (2005). He is the director of '' Nairsan'', a forthcoming Indo-Japanese historical film, based on the legendary Indian freedom fighter A. M. Muraleedharan Pillai, popularly known as Murali ( ml, മുരളി, 25 May 1954 – 6 August 2009) was an Indian film, stage and television actor and author. He mainly appeared in Malayalam films and a few Tamil films and also many other movies. The Kerala State Film Awards are the film awards for a motion picture made in Kerala. The awards started in 1969 by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala and since 1998 the awards have been bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs. The awardees are decided by an independent jury formed by the academy and the Department of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Kerala. The jury usually consists of eminent personalities from the film field.
