Mühip Kanko (b. 1965, Hozat, Turkey) is a Turkish physician and politician. He was a Republican People's Party Kocaeli deputy in the 28th term of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Ko-kan
Kokang ( my, ကိုးကန့်; ) is a region in Myanmar (Burma). It is located in the northern part of Shan State, with the Salween River to its west, and sharing a border with China's Yunnan Province to the east. Its total land area is around . The capital is Laukkai. Kokang is mostly populated by Kokang Chinese, a Han Chinese group living in Myanmar. Kokang had been historically part of China for several centuries and is still claimed by the Republic of China to this day, but was largely left alone by successive governments due to its remote location. Petr Kanko (born 7 February 1984) is a professional ice hockey right winger who currently an Unrestricted Free Agent. He most recently played for the AZ Havířov of the 1. národní hokejová liga and formerly for the Los Angeles Kings of the NHL. Playing career Petr Kanko came to North America in 2001 to play for the Kitchener Rangers of the OHL. He produced for the team right away, and was part of their Memorial Cup winning team of 2003. Five members of that team, including Kanko, have since gone on to play in the NHL. Also, he was drafted 66th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Assita Kanko (born 14 July 1980) is a Belgian journalist, human rights activist and politician who was elected as a Member of the European Parliament in 2019 representing the New Flemish Alliance. Biography Kanko was born in Godyr, Burkina Faso in 1980. She underwent female genital mutilation (FGM) as a child and has since campaigned for the practice to be banned. Kanko has also worked with the AHA Foundation founded by Ayaan Hirsi Ali to combat FGM, forced marriages and human rights abuses. After the murder of the influential Burkina Faso journalist Norbert Zongo in 1998, she studied journalism and became a human rights activist.
