Kanjikode or Kanchikode is an industrial town located east of Palakkad. Kanjikode is the second largest industrial hub in Kerala after Kochi.The town is part of Pudussery Panchayat. National Highway 544 (India)
National Highway 544, commonly referred to as NH 544, (''old number'' NH 47) is a National Highway in South India connecting Salem city in Tamil Nadu to the city of Kochi in Kerala. It is also called the Salem-Kochi Highway. The highway runs through the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, connecting various important cities and towns such as Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur and Kochi. It is a spur of National Highway 44, which forms the North South Corridor of the National Highway network of India.It passes south of Coimbatore. NH544 is the only highway in kerala which is fully 4lane (partially 6 lane also) including kuthiran Road Tunnel . It was formerly designated National Highway 47. Walayar
Walayar is a border town, located in the eastern corner of Palakkad district in Kerala, India. Geography Walayar lies on the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu on National Highway 544 (NH544) (NH 47 old). Most of the goods imported into Kerala come by road and predominantly on this road. Due to its traffic volume, the route once had notorious traffic jams. But this changed with the improvement of NH 47 from Walayar to Vadakkanchery. It now has four lanes, with service roads and other facilities. There is an exclusive service road for goods vehicles from the entry point of the check post to the exit point so that passenger vehicles can easily pass through the check post area without any interruption. Indian Institute Of Technology Palakkad
Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad (IIT Palakkad or IIT PKD) is a public autonomous engineering and research institute located in Palakkad, Kerala. Proposed in the 2014 Union budget of India alongside five other new IITs, IIT Palakkad was established in 2015 as an institute of national importance by the Government of India. The institute started functioning in August 2015 from a temporary site located inside the Ahalia Integrated Campus, Palakkad. In February 2019, academic activities commenced on the Nila Campus, sometimes referred to as the transit campus.
