Kanita Suma (born 26 July 2001), also known mononymously as Kanita, is an Albanian singer from North Macedonia. Life and career Kanita Suma was born on 26 July 2001 into an Albanian family in the city of Skopje, North Macedonia. Suma rose to prominence as she auditioned for the second season of ''X Factor Albania'' in 2012 finishing in the fourth place. She continued her musical career and participated in Kënga Magjike on two occasions, in 2014 and 2018. The Festivali i Këngës 2019 was the 58th edition of the annual Albanian music competition Festivali i Këngës. It was organised by RTSH, Radio Televizioni Shqiptar (RTSH) at the Palace of Congresses, Pallati i Kongreseve in Tirana, Albania, and consisted of two semi-finals on 19 and 20 December, respectively, and the final on 22 December 2019. The three live shows were hosted by Alketa Vejsiu. The winner of the contest was Arilena Ara with the song "Shaj (song), Shaj", after receiving 67 points with two points ahead over Elvana Gjata with the song "Me tana". ''X Factor Albania'' is the Albanian version of '' The X Factor''. The first season started on 8 January 2012 and was broadcast by TV Klan. The judges are: Macedonian-Albanian singer Tuna, Albanian singer Soni Malaj, Albanian-American singer Bleona Qereti and Albanian composer Pandi Laço. The show is hosted by Alketa Vejsiu.
