Ilkka Kanerva
Ilkka Armas Mikael Kanerva (28 January 1948 – 14 April 2022) was a Finnish politician and a member of the Parliament of Finland. He was born in Lokalahti, now a part of Uusikaupunki in Southwest Finland. He was the Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2007 to 2008. Kanerva was a member of the National Coalition Party. With nearly 47 years in office, Kanerva was the longest-serving Member of Parliament in Finnish political history. Early life Kanerva graduated with a master's degree in political science from the University of Turku in 1980. Kanerva was leader of the political youth organisation Kokoomuksen Nuorten Liitto ry. from 1972 to 1976 and was first elected to the Finnish Parliament in 1975. Markku Kanerva
Markku Tapio Kanerva (born 24 May 1964) is a Finnish football manager, former player and elementary school teacher. He is the current manager of the Finnish national team. Playing career Kanerva, who is known by the nickname ''"Rive"'', was born in Helsinki. In Finland, he played as a central defender and full back in his hometown clubs HJK (1983–1990 and 1994–1998) and the season 1994 in the then local rivals FinnPa. The seasons 1991 and 1992, he played in the Swedish team IF Elfsborg. At international level, Kanerva went on to win 59 caps, and scored one goal for the Finnish national team. His last years as a player were shadowed by injuries, but he was still an important part of the HJK defence. Emma Kanerva (born 13 July 1985) is a Finnish dressage rider. She represented Finland in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, finishing 22nd. She also competed at the World Equestrian Games in 2010 and 2018. Kanerva represented Finland five times during the European Championships in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2021 and 2023.
