Kandula Mallikarjuna Rao
Kandula Mallikharjuna Rao, better known as Mallik (1921–1996) was an Indian popular music composer and singer. He was born to K. Venkatachalam and Lakshmi Narasamma. He was born in Machilipatnam, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. He received initial training in music from late Krovi Satyanarayana. He worked as a music composer and singer at All India Radio, Madras for 30 years. He later transferred to All India Radio, Vijayawada. While working at Akashvani, he composed for many songs, dance dramas, Bhakthi Ranjani songs and folk songs. He was the first composer of many reputed Tallapaka Annamacharya Keerthanas. Examples of such include ''Adigo Alladigo'', ''Thandhanana Aahi'', and ''Narayanathae Namo Namo''. He also composed the famous Raja Rajeshwari Astakam, Hanuman Manjari. Machilipatnam
Machilipatnam (), also known as Masulipatnam and Bandar, is a city in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a municipal corporation and the administrative headquarters of Krishna district. Sri Venkateswara Swami vari Brahmotsavam or Srivari Brahmotsavam is the most significant annual fête celebrated at the Venkateswara Temple, Tirumala, Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala-Tirupati, Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The feast lasts for one month during the Hindu calendar month of Asvina, Āśvina, which falls between the Gregorian calendar months of September and October. The ''Utsava-murti'' (processional deity) of the presiding deity, Venkateswara, and his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi are taken on a procession on several ''vahanams'' on the streets surrounding the temple. Chittajallu Rajeevalochana (15 August 1935 – 5 March 2013), better known as Rajasulochana, was an Indian classical dancer and actress. She has acted in more than 300 Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi language films. Early life She was born on 15 August 1935 in Bezawada (now Vijayawada), in Andhra Pradesh. Shobha Naidu
Sobha Naidu (1956 – 14 October 2020) was among the foremost Kuchipudi dancers of India and a disciple of the renowned master Vempati Chinna Satyam. She mastered the technique of Kuchipudi and began dancing lead roles in dance-dramas at a young age. She performed with her guru's troupe extensively, performing the roles of Satyabhama and Padmavati. Principal of Kuchipudi Art Academy, Hyderabad, Sobha Naidu imparted training to younger students over the past few years. In 2010, the school celebrated the completion of 30 years. She also choreographed several dance-dramas. She received the title of Nritya Choodamani from Krishna Gana Sabha, Madras. Vempati Chinna Satyam
Vempati Chinna Satyam (15 October 1929 – 29 July 2012) was an Indian dancer and a guru of the Kuchipudi dance form. Chinna Satyam was born in a brahmin family at Kuchipudi, Andhra Pradesh. He was taught by Vedantam Lakshmi Narayana Sastry. He then refined his art by learning from Sri Tadepally Perrayya Sastry and later was trained by his elder brother Sri Vempati Pedda Satyam in expressions. As he learnt the nuances of this style of dance, he was successful in propagating the Kuchipudi dance form all over the world. He died of old age related problems at the age of 83 on 29 July 2012. Dance Chinna Satyam sublimated and systematised Kuchipudi, giving it a more classical basis.
