Kanal 2 (Danish TV Station)
Kanal 2 is a privately owned Estonian television channel. Its literal name in English is "Channel 2". The channel was established by Ilmar Taska. The channel began broadcasting on 1 October 1993. History The channel started broadcasting on October 1, 1993, the first program seen on the new network being the Estonian animated film Kapsapea (Cabbage Head). 1080i
1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. A related display resolution is 1080p, which also has 1080 lines of resolution; the "p" refers to progressive scan, which indicates that the lines of resolution for each frame are "drawn" on the screen in sequence. The term assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9 (a rectangular TV that is wider than it is tall), so the 1080 lines of vertical resolution implies 1920 columns of horizontal resolution, or 1920 pixels × 1080 lines. KidZone Mini
KidZone Max is an Estonian children's TV channel. It is broadcast in 3 countries and 4 languages, although programs are not dubbed into the languages; rather, they are aired in either English or their original languages with voiceover translators speaking over the programs to translate all dialogue into the target language. It was launched on 13 June 2013 at 15:00. KidZone has a sister channel that was formerly knows as KidZone+, but rebranded as KidZone Mini on 24 December 2021. The channel airs programs targeted at a younger audience than the main KidZone channel. The Price Is Right
''The Price Is Right'' is a television game show franchise created by Bob Stewart, originally produced by Mark Goodson and Bill Todman; currently it is produced and owned by Fremantle. ''Thank God You're Here'' is an Australian television improvised comedy program created by Working Dog Productions, which premiered on Network Ten on 5 April 2006, and aired for the first three seasons and on Seven for the fourth season. Each episode involves performers walking through a door into an unknown situation, greeted by the line "Thank God you're here!". They then had to improvise their way through the scene. At the end of each episode a winner was announced. It was the most successful new show in Australia of 2006, attracting an average of 1.7 million viewers after the first few episodes. Ilmar Taska
Ilmar Taska (born May 21, 1953, in Vyatka) is an Estonian filmmaker and writer, who was writer and producer for 20th Century Fox movie ''Back in the USSR'' (1992) and producer for '' Candles in the Dark'' directed by Maximilian Schell. Ilmar Taska's 2016 novel ''Pobeda 1946'' has been translated into many languages and was nominated for the Jarl Hellemann Translation Prize in Finland as best translated book of the year (translated by Jouko Vanhanen). Ilmar Taska was born in Russia, where his family had been sent from Estonia by Stalin's repressions before WW2.
