Sathasivam Kanagaratnam ( ta, சதாசிவம் கனகரத்தினம்; born 28 December 1946) is a Sri Lankan Tamil politician and former Member of Parliament. Early life and family Kanagaratnam was born on 28 December 1946 Nallur, northern Ceylon. He was educated at Senkuntha Hindu College. He had two brothers (Chelvanayakam and Rajaratnam) and two sisters. Lieutinent Chelvanayakam (alias Amman, Chandran, Chellakili) was a member of the rebel Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) who was killed in the Thirunelvely ambush on the Sri Lankan military in July 1983. Kanagaratnam has two sons (Aathithan and Shanseevan) and a daughter (Niruththana). Career After school Kanagaratnam worked in various jobs including as a salesman and a chauffeur. Aaryan Dinesh Kanagaratnam (born 31 August 1981), also known by his initials A. D. K. or simply Dinesh Kanagaratnam, is a Sri Lankan R&B and hip hop artist and music producer who has composed tracks in Tamil language. Kanagaratnam Sriskandan
Kanagaratnam Sriskandan (12 August 1930 – 21 April 2010) was a Sri Lankan born British engineer and civil servant. He was the former Chief Highway Engineer, of Under Secretary Grade at the British Department for Transport Sriskandan received his primary education at Jaffna Central College, and went on S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia briefly and completed his secondary education at Royal College Colombo. His father was Dr Kanagaratnam. He joined the Ceylon Technical College to study civil engineering, when the engineering of the Technical College was transferred to the newly established University of Ceylon.
