Kamu Grugier-Hill
Caelan Kamuela “Kamu” Grugier-Hill (born May 16, 1994) is an American football linebacker for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Eastern Illinois, and was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round (208th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. High school Kamu Grugier-Hill attended Kamehameha Schools in Honolulu where he played soccer and football. Grugier-Hill began playing football in his junior year of high school as a safety and punter. College career Grugier-Hill played for the Eastern Illinois Panthers football team from 2012 to 2015. In his freshman year, he made his first start against UT Martin. In both 2014 and 2015, he earned First-team All OVC honors. A punter (P) in gridiron football is a special teams player who receives the snapped ball directly from the line of scrimmage and then punts (kicks) the football to the opposing team so as to limit any field position advantage. This generally happens on a fourth down in American football and a third down in Canadian football. Punters may also occasionally take part in fake punts in those same situations, when they throw or run the football instead of punting.
