Kampung Datuk Keramat
Kampung Datuk Keramat or more commonly referred to as Keramat (old name - Tangga Cina) among the locals is a large zone in the Titiwangsa constituency, falling within the boundary of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is located northeast of downtown Kuala Lumpur and borders the district of Ampang in Selangor. The Klang River runs roughly from northeast to the west and acts as a natural divider of Keramat and Ampang. Keramat, along with Kampung Baru, which is a 10 minutes drive away, has traditionally been a Malay majority area, being a Malay reserve area. Titiwangsa
Titiwangsa is one of the main areas located in the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Kuala Lumpur General Hospital is located south of Titiwangsa. The current member of parliament for Titiwangsa is Johari Abdul Ghani from Barisan Nasional-UMNO. The Titiwangsa Lake Gardens has facilitated cycling and water ball activities. Yusof Haslam
Md. Yusof bin Md. Haslam (born 24 April 1954) is a Malaysian actor, film director and producer. He is best known for his longest-running police procedural drama series '' Gerak Khas'', a TV series that he created, directed and produced. The latter spurring three feature films. The immense popularity of his films had led him to be nicknamed the "Six Million Dollar Man". His legacy in entertainment showbiz is now carried by his two sons, Syamsul and Syafiq. Kampung Padang Balang
Kampung Padang Balang or Padang Balang is the oldest surviving traditional village in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was circumferenced by Gombak Road, Jalan Kampung Bandar Dalam, Duta–Ulu Klang Expressway (DUKE), Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2 and Gombak River. History The first settler in Padang Balang was Datuk Balang, a Minang Datuk Ampat, who around 1820 to 1830 led a group of Batang Kapas refugee from Minangkabau, fleeing Dutch Invasion. They first landed at Sungai Ujong. Around the late 1820s Datuk Balang and his Batang Kapas followers, as well as a number of Payakumbuh peoples from Negeri Sembilan, move north to Kelang to open a new settlement at the northern Ulu Kelang (Kuala Lumpur), now known as Gombak. Padang Balang became the first settlement in Gombak, Kuala Lumpur opened in 1830. Al-Arqam
Al-Arqam is a Malaysian-based Islamic religious sect, founded by Ashaari Mohammad. The sect was banned by the Malaysian federal government on 21 October 1994. More than 5 Al-Arqam members including Ashaari Mohammad (leader of movement) were arrested under Internal Security Act (ISA) in Thailand and were flown back to Malaysia to be detained. The sect is associated with the Global Ikhwan group of companies. Ahmad Azhar bin Othman (born 24 November 1968), better known by his stage name Awie, is a Malaysian singer, musician, and actor. Awie is considered one of the greatest Malaysian vocalist of all time. Born in Datuk Keramat, Kuala Lumpur, Awie's music career start in 1985 with a rock band called Wings, which he became a lead vocal at age 17.
