A village ( or ) is the third and lowest administrative division of Brunei. It is headed by a village head (). Several villages are grouped together to form a mukim. A village is generally the traditional rural settlement, in particular in the sense of a kampong or Malay traditional village, but it may also be an urbanised settlement within or near the capital city or a town, or part of the public housing estates. Mokhtar Puteh
Pengiran Haji Mokhtar Puteh bin Pengiran Rajid (19 September 1929 – 30 April 2016) or also spelled Mokhtar Putih, was a nobleman and a civil servant from Brunei who served in several high-ranking positions which included being a member of the Privy Council and vice-president of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council. He was known for his active involvement in charitable work and sport activities throughout his life. Early life and education From 1939 to 1942, Pengiran Mokhtar Puteh attended the Kajang Malay School in Brunei Town for his early schooling. He continued his studies at the Roman Catholic Mission School. In 1941, when Brunei was occupied by the Japanese, he continued his academic pursuits at a Sarawak Navy Academy. Cheteria
The Cheteria are a group of royal dignitaries within the Sultanate of Brunei whose position ranks below the Royal Wazir but above the Manteri. Each carry specialized tasks and report directly to the Sultan of Brunei. The Cheteria hierarchy is structured around what is known as the Four Fold system which expands up to 32 folds. The title of Cheteria are only bestowed upon the Pengiran, especially to the caste of Pengiran known as the Pengiran Peranakan. The awarding of such titles are held in a ceremony called "mengangkat". Yusof Mohamed Alam
Pengiran Anak Mohamed Yusof (24 June 1948 – 13 December 2004) was a nobleman and formerly a civil servant from Brunei who became the prince consort to Princess Nor'ain in 1967, and brother of Queen Saleha. He had previously served as the head of the Royal Customs and Protocols Department (''Jabatan Adat Istiadat Negara''), and was a member of several state councils. Marsal Maun
Haji Marsal Bin Maun (8 November 1913 – 28 March 2000) was the second Menteri Besar (Chief Minister of Brunei), who served from 1961 to 1962. It was during his tenure as Menteri Besar that the Brunei Revolt broke out. Marsal Maun was one of the person responsible for the establishment of the Federation of Brunei Malay Teachers (PGGMB) and Brunei Scout Movement, which both still run till today.
