Kamloops Broncos
The Kamloops Broncos are a Canadian Junior Canadian Football, football team based in Kamloops, British Columbia. The Broncos play in the six-team B.C. Football Conference (BCFC), which is part of the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) and competes annually for the national title known as the Canadian Bowl. The team was founded as the ''Kamloops Cowboys'' in 2000, but were relegated to non-playing status by the BCFC in 2003 when the organization was unable to pay their debts. With the new Hillside Stadium facility at Thompson Rivers University, the Broncos franchise was formally approved by the BCFC in January 2007. Kamloops, British Columbia
Kamloops ( ) is a city in south-central British Columbia, Canada, at the confluence of the South flowing North Thompson River and the West flowing Thompson River, east of Kamloops Lake. Hillside Stadium
Hillside Stadium is a multi-purpose, fully lit stadium located next to Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia. It is the home of the Thompson Rivers WolfPack, Kamloops Broncos of the Canadian Junior Football League, and the Kamloops Excel of the Pacific Coast Soccer League. It was a FIFA Recommended 1-Star installation when originally completed, but that has since expired. Besides hosting field events, it has a rubberized 400m running track and facilities for other track and field events. The stadium has aluminum bleachers, with a permanent seating capacity of 1,060. Hillside Stadium hosted the track and field events at the 1993 Canada Summer Games. In addition, there are two additional soccer fields and track and field facilities. Canadian Junior Football League
The Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) is a national Major Junior Canadian football league consisting of 19 teams playing in five provinces across Canada. The teams compete annually for the Canadian Bowl. Many CJFL players move on to professional football careers in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and elsewhere.
