Kamlesh Khunti is a British physician who is Professor of Primary Care Diabetes and Vascular Medicine at the University of Leicester. His research considers diabetes and public health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Khunti studied the impact of COVID-19 on people living with diabetes. He served on the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE). He is the director of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration East Midlands. Early life and education Khunti spent his childhood in Leicester. Kamlesh Kumari was an Indian constable who served with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and a recipient of the Ashoka Chakra, the highest possible award conferred during peacetime by the Republic of India. Kamlesh Kumari died on 13 December 2001 after successfully preventing terrorist gunmen and a terrorist suicide bomber from reaching Parliament during the 2001 Indian Parliament attack. Career Constable Kamlesh Kumari joined the CPRF in 1994 and was first posted with the elite 104 Rapid Action Force (RAF) in Allahabad. Kamlesh Kumar Patel, Lord Patel of Bradford, (born 28 September 1960) is a member of the House of Lords. Having been appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 1999 Birthday Honours, he was created a life peer as Baron Patel of Bradford, of Bradford in the County of West Yorkshire on 8 June 2006. A qualified Social Worker, he worked in inner city Bradford and then established a number of Third Sector agencies working with those misusing drugs and those with mental health problems; later moving to academia working with a number of universities. Paul Kamlesh Pattni (also known as Brother Paul) was (born 1965). He was implicated in the 1990s Goldenberg scandal but was acquitted in 2013. In March 2023, Mr Pattni has been uncovered by Al Jazeera Investigative Unit as dirty Gold money launder in Zimbabwe. Background Kamlesh Pattni was born and raised in Mombasa, Kenya.
