Kamillions
''Kamillions'' is a 1990 film directed by Mikel B. Anderson from a story by Robert Hsi and a screenplay Anderson wrote in collaboration with Harry S. Robins. The film was re-edited by producer Teresa Woo, who later admitted she did not really understand an English language science fiction comedy, and was expecting more of an action film. The film was shot primarily in the Dunsmuir House and Gardens in Oakland, California. In the film, a mad scientist creates a portal to another dimension and accidentally transports two other-dimensional shapeshifters to Earth. Both aliens assume human form, but they demonstrate different personality traits. The female is friendly and amorous, and proceeds to find herself a boyfriend. Kathleen Beeler
Kathleen Beeler is an American cinematographer, best known for her work with Trinh T. Minh-ha and Lynn Hershman Leeson. She got her start working with Mike B. Anderson on '' Alone in the T-Shirt Zone'', which she co-wrote, produced, was production designer, and acted in. She also shot Anderson's ''Kamillions'' and has done special effects photography for numerous higher-profile films. Beeler, along with Trinh T. Minh-ha, won the Excellence in Cinematography Award at the 1992 Sundance Film Festival for her work on the documentary ''Shoot for the Contents. Miskatonic University
Miskatonic University is a fictional university located in Arkham, a fictional town in Essex County, Massachusetts. It is named after the Miskatonic River (also fictional). After first appearing in H. P. Lovecraft's 1922 story "Herbert West–Reanimator", the school appeared in numerous Cthulhu Mythos stories by Lovecraft and other writers. The story "The Dunwich Horror" implies that Miskatonic University is a highly prestigious university, on par with Harvard University, and that Harvard and Miskatonic are the two most popular schools for the children of the Massachusetts "Old Gentry". The university also appears in role-playing games and board games based on the mythos. Origin Lovecraft concocted the word ''Miskatonic'' from a mixture of root words from the Algonquian languages. Triops
''Triops'' is a genus of small crustaceans in the order Notostraca (tadpole shrimp). The long-lasting resting eggs of several species of ''Triops'' are commonly sold in kits as a pet.
