Kamil Sönmez
Kamil Sönmez (4 March 1947 – 20 December 2012) was a Turkish folk singer and actor. He is best known for his folk songs from the Black Sea Region of Turkey. In 1998, he received the title of "state artist". He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on 4 December 2012 and died on 20 December 2012 in Başkent University Istanbul Medical Practice and Research Center. Perşembe ( tr, Perşembe,originated from Persian word "پنج شنبه(/pændʒʃænbɛ/)" meaning Thursday) (formerly ''Vona'', Βόνη in ancient Greek, also ''Heneti'', ჰენეთი in Georgian and Laz languages) is a town and district of Ordu Province on the Black Sea coast of Turkey. According to the 2016 census, population of the district is 31,065, with a male population of 15,966 and female population of 15,099. Ordu () or Altınordu is a port city on the Black Sea coast of Turkey, historically also known as Cotyora or Kotyora ( pnt, Κοτύωρα), and the capital of Ordu Province with a population of 229,214 in the city center. Name Kotyora, the original name of the city is a legacy of indigenous Colchis, Colchians. The name is allegedly composed of an old Laz language, Laz word for pottery ('Koto', similar to Mingrelian language, Mingrelian 'Koto', Georgian language, Georgian 'Kotani' and Laz 'Katana') and a common Kartvelian languages, Kartvelian suffix indicating belonging ('Uri'). In Zan languages, Zan (aka Colchian) Kotyora means a place where pottery is made.
