Kamalpreet Kaur
Kamalpreet Kaur (born 4 March 1996) is an Indian athlete from Punjab. She is the first Indian woman to breach the 65m barrier in discus throw. She is supported by GoSports Foundation through the Rahul Dravid Athlete Mentorship Programme. Her best performance came when she finished 6th in discus throw at Tokyo 2020. Kaur set a national record in discus throw with an attempt of 65.06 m and qualified for the summer Olympics in Tokyo. She extended her record to 66.59m at the Indian Grand Prix-4 at the NIS, Patiala, on 21 June 2021. On 12th October 2022, she was banned from competing for a period of three years by the AIU for a doping violation. The Japan National Stadium, officially named and formerly known as or , is a multi-purpose stadium used mostly for association football in Kasumigaoka, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. Seema Punia-Antil (born 27 July 1983) is an Indian discus thrower. Her personal best throw is , achieved at the National Senior Inter-state Athletic Championships 2021. Early life Seema Antil was born in Khewda village of Sonipat district in Haryana. Her sporting career began at the age of 11 years as a hurdler and a long-jumper, but later took to discus throw. Her gold medal win at the World Junior Championships in 2000 in Santiago earned her the nickname: 'Millennium Child'. She studied in the Government College, Sonipat. Career Antil originally won a gold medal at the 2000 World Junior Championships, but she lost it due to a positive drugs' test for pseudoephedrine. Malout
Malout is a town, just outside of Muktsar Sahib city in the Muktsar district of the Indian state of Punjab. It is in the southern Punjab "cotton belt", where production per kilometer is one of the highest in India. Malout is on NH-354 and NH-9 and NH-7, which connects Fazilka to New Delhi.
