Kamal Ahmed (born 1966), usually called Kamal, is a Trinidadian-Bangladeshi American comedian and former member of prank phone calling comedy group The Jerky Boys. Early life and career Kamal was born in East New York, Brooklyn and raised in Astoria, Queens & the Lower East Side of Manhattan. His father, Manir Ahmed, a former chemical engineer, started the restaurant "Shah Bagh" in the East Village. This eventually led him to owning a string of Indian restaurants in an area that became "Little India". Kamal's mother, who was from Trinidad & Tobago worked for the United Nations. Ahmed's sister is also a chemical engineer that has worked for major pharmaceutical companies. Kamal took an early interest in music and has become an accomplished bass guitar player and scores many of his productions. Ahmed was a founding member of the jerky boys and co-starred with John G. Kamal Ahmed (born 15 November 1967) is a British journalist, who was Editorial Director of BBC News. He was Economics Editor at the BBC until November 2018, and Business Editor from March 2014, until Simon Jack was appointed as his successor in February 2016. Ahmed was formerly the political editor of ''The Observer'', business editor of ''The Sunday Telegraph'' and Director of Communications at the Equality and Human Rights Commission. Kamal Ahmed is a Bahraini politician and current Minister of Transportation and Communications. In February 2011, he became the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of Bahrain by the appointment of King Hamad ibn Isa Al Khalifa. He has also been the Executive Chairman of Operations at the Bahrain Development Board. Kamal Ahmed (born 9 September 1965) is a Bangladeshi Rabindra Sangeet (also known as Tagore songs) singer. He is currently serving as the Deputy Director General (Program) at Bangladesh Betar. Early life Ahmed was born in Pabna on 9 September 1965 to Kiam Uddin Biswas and Aziza Khatun. He has a son, Ahmed Rezwan Protik, and a daughter, Ahmed Rehnuma Prokriti. Kamal Ahmed (20 April 1937 – 6 June 1993), was a Pakistani film music director. He has the second-highest number of film scores of more than 100 Urdu movies, after M. Ashraf who did more than 250 Urdu movies as a music director. Kamal won 6 Best Musician Nigar Awards during his long film career. Early life Kamal Ahmad was born in Gurgaon, Uttar Pradesh, British India on April 20, 1937. Career Kamal's debut film as a music director was ''Nadira'' (1967). Kamal Ahmed Majumder (born 3 March 1950) is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the incumbent Jatiya Sangsad member from Dhaka-15 since its inception in 2009. Early life Majumder graduated with a B.A. degree. Career Majumder contested the controversial by-election in Mirpur on 3 February 1993. He lost the election to Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate Sayed Muhammad Mohsin. He was arrested in August 2002 by Bangladesh Police during the Bangladesh Nationalist Party government. Syed Kamal Ahmed Rizvi (1 May 1930 – 17 December 2015) was a Pakistani television actor and playwright. He was born in Bihar, British India and died in Karachi, Pakistan.
