''Kalpanthe Sihinayak'' (''කල්පාන්තයේ සිහිනයක්'') is a 2014 Sri Lankan fantasy thriller film directed by Channa Perera and produced by Perly Wijesinghe, Sunethra Balasuriya, Harsha Gamaethige and Asela Amarasiri. It stars Channa Perera and debutant Indian actress Chaithra Chandranth in lead roles along with Sanath Gunathilake and Hemasiri Liyanage. Music co-composed by Rohana Weerasinghe and Dinesh Subasinghe. It is the 1115th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. The film was initially titled ''Miringu Yaathra''. Its plot is based on a King Ravana's missing Ancestry Book which was hidden for more than 5,000 years. The film was shot around Rattota forest areas, Dambulla, and Kaludiya Pokuna Forest. Deepanath Channa Perera (born 16 August 1965 as චන්න පෙරේරා inhala, is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema and television as well as a filmmaker and screenplay writer. Personal life Channa Perera was born on 16 August 1965 as the eldest of four sons. His father Piyasena Perera was a Director of Education who was in-charge of special education in Sri Lanka. His mother, Vineetha Piyasena, was a teaching instructress. Perera was educated at Sri Sumangala Boys' School, Panadura and then from Royal College Colombo. DR. Rohana Weerasinghe (born February 18, 1949), is a Sri Lankan musician, composer and singer. Early life Weerasinghe was born on 18 February 1949 in Algiriya, Matara in southern Sri Lanka. He was the youngest child to his parents Henry Weerasinghe and Sepalin Weerasinghe. In 1954, Weerasinghe started schooling from Good Shepard Family Convent in Nuwara Eliya, and later moved to Vidyachakra Buddhist School Ruwan Eliya, Welimada Maha Vidyalaya, Pannipitya Dharmapala Vidyalaya and Gamini Maha Vidyalaya Nuwara Eliya. In 1977, Weerasinghe married to Leela Beatrice De Silva, a dancing teacher in profession. They had two sons, Kalindu Gajaba and Chirath Kanishka. Ravana (; , , ) is a rakshasa king of the island of Lanka, and the chief antagonist of the Hindu epic ''Ramayana'' and its adaptations. Kaludiya Pokuna Forest
Kaludiya Pokuna Archeological Forest Site (කළුදිය පොකුණ පුරාවිද්යා භූමිය), is a forest with archeological remains in Kandalama, in the Dry Zone of Sri Lanka. The site has been handed over to the Girls' High School, Kandy in accordance with the "Urumaya Thani Nokaramu" program organized by the Department of Archeology. For the first time in Sri Lanka, a school was given custody of an archeological site. Etymology The place got its name from a pond that had dark water at ancient times.
