Brian Kalk
Brian Kalk (born c. 1966) is a North Dakota Republican Party politician in the U.S. state of North Dakota. He served on the North Dakota Public Service Commission from 2009 to 2017. Early life Kalk was born and raised in Bottineau, North Dakota and graduated from Bottineau High School in 1984. He was class President in Bottineau his Freshman and Senior years of high school. While in High School he was active in the FFA, Hockey, Football, Track, and Choir. Kalk graduated in the top 10% of his class. Following High School graduation he attended Dakota College at Bottineau where he played hockey for the "Lumber Jacks" and studied Political Science and Natural Resources until his enlistment in the Marine Corps in 1987. Marines Kalk served as a Marine from 1987 until his retirement. During his years as a Marine, he traveled to over forty countries. Curt Kalk
Curtis Leroy Kalk is an Ojibwe politician for the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, located in east-central Minnesota. Elected in 2009, Curt Kalk served at the tribe's Secretary/Treasurer. As Secretary/Treasurer, he authorized all subpoenas and official documents on behalf of the Band Assembly (the tribal council of the Mille Lacs Band) and investigated financial irregularities. Kalk also served as Speaker of the Band Assembly, the legislative body that enacts laws that regulate the Band's affairs and appropriates money for tribal government programs. Before being elected Secretary/Treasurer, Kalk served as Commissioner of Natural Resources for nine years. He has also worked for the Band's Department of Natural Resources as a deputy registrar. Jay Kalk, AKA Jay Ernest, AKA Jayder (born January 11, 1975) is an American and International touring and recording artist formerly based out of Los Angeles, Phoenix, Honolulu, who currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has recorded and performed with many artists such as Go Jimmy Go, Warsaw Poland Brothers, and 3 Minute Hero. His most recent endeavor, Church of Cash, is a Johnny Cash Tribute show. Childhood Jay Kalk was born in New Ulm, Minnesota and raised on a farm with his mother, father and two younger brothers. Stanton Frederick Kalk
Stanton Frederick Kalk (14 October 1894 – 6 December 1917) was an officer in the United States Navy during World War I. He received the Navy's Distinguished Service Medal for his actions after his ship was torpedoed by a German submarine. Biography Stanton Kalk was born in Mobile County, Alabama, the son of Frank Kalk and Flora ''Stanton'' Kalk. He was appointed to the Naval Academy by Nebraska Senator Norris Brown, and graduated in 1916, fifty-first in a class of 178. After serving on the battleship , he was assigned to the destroyer on 10 September 1917. While steaming on patrol duty from Brest, France, to Queenstown, Ireland, ''Jacob Jones'' was attacked on 6 December by German submarine ''U-53''. Although Kalk, officer-of-the-deck during the attack, "took correct and especially prompt measures in maneuvering to avoid the torpedo," the destroyer could not turn in time to escape.
