Raphael Kalinowski
Raphael of St. Joseph Kalinowski ( pl, Józef Kalinowski, lt, Rapolas Kalinauskas) (1 September 1835 – 15 November 1907) was a Polish Discalced Carmelite friar inside the Russian partition of Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, in the city of Vilnius (russian: Вильна). He was a teacher, engineer, prisoner of war, royal tutor, and priest, who founded many Carmelite monasteries around Poland after their suppression by the Russians. Kalinowski was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1991, the first man to be so recognized in the Order of Discalced Carmelites since John of the Cross. Childhood Raphael was born Józef Kalinowski to a noble "szlachta" family in the city of Vilnius (Vilna). Jan Kalinowski
Jan Kalinowski (17 May 1857 – June 1941) was a Polish explorer and collector of biological specimens who worked in Asia and South America. He was among the first Europeans to explore the fauna of the Korean Peninsula, collecting for the Branicki family of Poland from 1885 to 1888. Life and work Kalinowski was born in Okuniew where his father was a forester. He began to work for Władysław Taczanowski at the Zoological Museum in Warsaw. His first collecting expedition sponsored by Count Konstanty Branicki (1824-1884) was into Kamchatka with Benedict Dybowski. He stayed on from 1883 after Dybowski returned and explored Japan and Korea. He collected numerous insects and birds. The specimens he collected were examined and found to be new species by the Russian entomologist General Oktawiusz Radoszkowski. Marcin Kalinowski
Marcin Kalinowski (c. 1605 – 1652) was a Polish magnate and nobleman (szlachcic), Kalinowa coat of arms, Field Crown Hetman. He was the son of Walenty Aleksander Kalinowski who fell at the Battle of Cecora (1620). He began his studies in Poland and continued his education at the University of Leuven.References ? Kalinowski was a notable Polish noble family that belonged to a limited and small circle of Magnates of Poland and Lithuania. Jarosław Kalinowski (; born 12 April 1962) is a Polish politician from the agrarian Polish People's Party (PSL). Kalinowski was born in Wyszków. He was first elected to the Sejm in 1993, and was reelected in the subsequent elections of 1997, 2001, 2005 and 2007. At the 2005 legislative elections of 25 September, he gained 15,855 votes in the 18th electoral (Siedlce) district. He was reelected to the Sejm once again at the legislative elections of 21 October 2007. Kalinowski was deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland, Minister for Agriculture from April to October 1997, in the cabinet of Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz. Kalinowski's mastiff bat (''Mormopterus kalinowskii'') is a species of bat in the family Molossidae, the free-tailed bats. It is native to Peru and northern Chile. Relatively little is known about the species, but it is thought to be common in its range. It is sometimes seen in urban areas. Molecular sequencing data indicates that the closest relatives of ''M. kalinowski'' are members of another genus, ''Nyctinomops''.
