Kalininsky City District (russian: Калининский район) is an administrative district (raion), one of the 10 raions of Novosibirsk, Russia. The area of the district is . Population: 200,694 (2018). History In 1980, part of the Dzerzhinsky District became the Kalininsky District. Kalininsky raion is the newest district of the city. In 2000, Pashino Settlement was included in the district. In 2005, Klyukvenny Settlement became part of the Kalininsky district. Bodies of water The Sukhoy Log Creek flows through the district. Novosibirsk (, also ; rus, Новосиби́рск, p=nəvəsʲɪˈbʲirsk, a=ru-Новосибирск.ogg) is the largest city and administrative centre of Novosibirsk Oblast and Siberian Federal District in Russia. The city is located in southwestern Siberia, on the banks of the Ob River. Hockey Club Sibir Novosibirsk Oblast (russian: ХК Сибирь, en, Siberia HC), also known as HC Sibir or Sibir Novosibirsk, is a Russian professional ice hockey team based in Novosibirsk. They are members of the Chernyshev Division in the Kontinental Hockey League. History Ice hockey was introduced to Novosibirsk in 1948 by Ivan Tsyba, who returned from a hockey seminar in Moscow with equipment to play the sport.
