Six Kalimas
The Six Kalimah ( ar, , rtl=yes ''al-kalimāt as-sitt'', also spelled ''qalmah''), also known as the Six Traditions or the Six Phrases, are six Islamic phrases (prayers) often recited by Muslims. The phrases are taken in part from hadiths. Recitation of the Six Kalimahs is taught in South Asian Muslim Schools. In Islam the kalimahs are not restricted to only 6 however in South Asia (and only South Asia) they have restricted the kalimahs to 6. Kalima was a Manchester-based Factory Records band who were active from 1980 to 1991 and in 2001 after a reformation, playing in a funk, Latin and jazz style. ''Kalima'' (french: Word; the act of Speaking) was a monthly women's magazine and news magazine published in Morocco between 1986 and 1989. The magazine was a feminist publication and the first women's magazine in the country. History and profile ''Kalima'' was established in 1986. The founder was a radical women organization, Union de l'Action Feminine. The publisher was Nourreddine Ayouch. The magazine's goal was to emphasize that "gender roles, sexuality, and even division of labor were neither divinely prescribed nor ordained by nature, but had a historical origin." It adopted a progressive feminist stance in dealing with social, economic, political and cultural aspects of women's life. It also addressed critical issues in Morocco, including abandoned children in the country. Sihem Bensedrine ( ar, سهام بن سدرين) (born October 28, 1950) is a Tunisian journalist and human rights activist. In 2005, she was honored with the Oxfam Novib/PEN Award. Biography She was born in La Marsa, near Tunis and went to France to study at the University of Toulouse, where she earned a degree in philosophy. In 1980, she became a reporter for the independent journal ''Le Phare''. When the journal stopped publication, she became a political chief at ''Maghreb'', and then at ''Réalités''. When ''Maghreb'' ceased publication because of the food riots in 1983, she became the editor-in-chief of ''Gazette Touristique'' and founded ''l'Hebdo Touristique''. Naziha Réjiba
Naziha Réjiba ( aeb, نزيهة رجيبة) also known as ''Om Ziad'' () is a Tunisian journalist. She edits the online journal Kalima. In 2000, Réjiba co-founded Kalima, along with Sihem Bensedrine. In 2001, Réjiba and Bensedrine founded Observatoire de la Liberté de la Presse, de L'Edition et de la Création (OLPEC), a group that promotes freedom of the press and which is banned in Tunisia. Réjiba has repeatedly been harassed by the Tunisian government. She has repeatedly been interrogated by police, and she is under constant surveillance. Additionally, her journal, Kalima, is blocked in Tunisia. In 2007, Rejiba received a series of anonymous threats and was the target of a smear campaign involving obscene, fabricated photographs of her husband. Huambo is a province of Angola. With an area of 34,270 km2, it is one of the geographically smaller provinces, situated in the Central Region approximately 450 km south east of the capital, Luanda. The province had a population of 2,019,555 according to the 2014 census, of which 48% are in urban areas. Kalima is a town in Maniema Province, Congo. It is situated northeast of the provincial capital Kindu, between the Ulindi River and the Elila River, at an altitude of 2797 ft (852 m).
