Kaleb Hayes
Kaleb Hayes (born March 19, 1999) is an American professional football cornerback who is a free agent. He played college football for the Oregon State Beavers and for the BYU Cougars. Early life and high school Hayes attended high school at San Gorgonio. Coming out of high school, Hayes was rated as a three star recruit, where he decided to commit to play college football for the Oregon State Beavers. College career Oregon State In Hayes first two collegiate seasons in 2018 and 2019, he totaled 46 tackles, eight pass deflections, and an interception, in 17 games. Hayes decided to sit out of the 2020 season, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After the conclusion of the 2020 season, Hayes decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal. BYU Hayes decided to transfer to play for the BYU Cougars. In the 2021 season, Hayes tallied 26 tackles and 12 pass deflections in his first year with the Cougars. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties.
