Kalarcode or Kalarkode is a village in Alappuzha district, from the town of Alappuzha. The village name derives from ''Kalyakroda Vilasam''. Alappuzha Bypass
Alappuzha Bypass ( ml, ആലപ്പുഴ ബൈപ്പാസ്) is a part of NH 66 that bypasses CBD of Alappuzha city in Kerala, India. The 6.8 km long two line bypass is the first and longest elevated beach highway in the country, starting at Kalarcode in the south to Kommady in the north. It runs along the scenic beachside of Alappuzha City. It is a joint venture (50:50) between the central and state governments. The contractor for the project is RDS-CVCC, which is a joint venture. The same joint venture was responsible for Kollam Bypass 2 lane which was inaugurated in 2019 by the Honorble PM Shri Narendra Modi. CVCC executed Kollam Bypass and RDS construction company completed the Alappuzha bypass in 2020.This is the first bypass project in the state of kerala but the construction is delayed nearly 40 years The Central government contributed Rs 185 crores and the State government Rs 250 crores for the project . Alappuzha
Alappuzha or Alleppey () is the administrative headquarters of Alappuzha district in States and territories of India, state of Kerala, India. Kerala University
University of Kerala, formerly the University of Travancore, is a state-run public university located in Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital of Kerala, India. Cherthala, , (formerly Shertalai, Shertallai or Shertallay) is a Municipal town and a Taluk located at National highway 66 in the district of Alappuzha, in the state of Kerala, India. Cherthala is the satellite town and industrial hub of Alappuzha. In the local administration, Cherthala is a municipality, while in the state administrative structure Cherthala is a taluk and its headquarters are in the district of Alappuzha. Etymology According to local legend, Vilwamangalam Swamiyar, the Kerala Hindu saint, while travelling through Cherthala, found an idol of the Devi with its head immersed in a muddy pond. The swami understood the divinity of the idol, took it out of the mud, cleaned it and consecrated it in a temple near the pond. Champakulam is a village in Kerala, India. It is in Alappuzha district. Champakulam is part of Kuttanad, the rice bowl of Kerala, and is resplendent in green paddy fields, coconut groves and water fowl. State Highway 11 (SH 11) is a State Highway in Kerala, India that starts in Kalarcode, Alappuzha and ends in Perunna, Changanassery.The road is popularly known as AC road (Alappuzha Changanassery) road. The highway is 24.2 km long. Route description (starts from NH-47(NH-66 now), at Kalarcode) Alappuzha - Kainakary - Nedumudi - Ramankary -Kidangara - Changanassery (joins MC Road at Perunna). The road runs parallel to AC Canal.
