Kalani Peʻa
Kalani Peʻa (born April 13, 1983) is a three-time Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter of Hawaiian music. He released his first album, ''E Walea'', in 2016, which won the 59th Annual Grammy Awards, 2017 Grammy award for Grammy Award for Best Regional Roots Music Album, Best Regional Roots Music Album. Peʻa released his second album, ''No 'Ane'i'', in 2018, which won the Grammy Award for Best Regional Roots Music Album at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. Peʻa is also an educator, a ''Native Hawaiians, kanaka'', and promotes Hawaiian language and culture. He is a supporter of Hawaiian language, Hawaiian-language immersion schools. Kamehameha Schools, formerly called Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate (KSBE), is a private school system in Hawaii established by the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Estate, under the terms of the will of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop, who was a formal member of the House of Kamehameha. Bishop's will established a trust called the "Bernice Pauahi Bishop Estate" that is Hawaii's largest private landowner. Originally established in 1887 as an all-boys school for native Hawaiian children, it shared its grounds with the Bishop Museum.
