North Adams is a village in Hillsdale County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 452 at the 2020 census. The village is located within Adams Township. History The area was first settled by William Cutler, who moved here from Niagara County, New York in 1835. He opened a tavern, and the community became known as Cutler's Corner. It was given a post office under that name on June 27, 1848. The post office was renamed North Adams on May 1, 1850 due to its northern location within Adams Township. Albion is a city in Calhoun County in the south central region of the Lower Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. Homer is a village in Calhoun County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is part of the Battle Creek, Michigan Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,668 at the 2010 census. History Milton Barney arrived from Lyons, New York the summer of 1832 to scout the area and returned that September with his family and workmen to settle on the south bank of the Kalamazoo River in Section 5. Saugatuck, Michigan
Saugatuck is a city in Allegan County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 865 at the 2020 census. The city is within Saugatuck Township, but is administratively autonomous. Originally a lumber town and port, Saugatuck, along with the adjacent city of Douglas, became a noted art colony and tourist destination in the Arts and Crafts movement of the late 19th century.
