Climbing history The first ascent of Kalabaland Dhura happened on 6 June, 1979 by Harish Kapadia, Vijay Kothari and Lakhpa Tsering. They taken the route from Camp 3 to a col on the north side of the peak. Then followed a steep gully to the top which had heavy cornices on the top. Kalabaland Dhura is a suggested name for this unnamed peak at that time. A team from I.I.T Bombay led by V. V. Limaye climbed Kalabaland Dhura in 1982. Gori Ganga
Gori Ganga ( Kumaoni: ''Gori Gād'') is a river in the Munsiari tehsil of the Pithoragarh District, part of the state of Uttarakhand in northern India. Its principal source is the Milam Glacier, just northeast of Nanda Devi along with the Glaciers of the Ralam River, and the Pyunshani and Uttari & Dakshini Balati Glaciers that lie on the western face of the Panchachuli Peaks. Etymology In the local language "gori" means white or fair. "Gad" and "ganga" both mean river. The water of this river froths and contains white clay/sand, so it looks white most of the time. Suitilla
Suj Tilla or Suitilla is a Himalayan peak located on the eastern side of Uttarakhand state in Pithoragarh District of India. The peak is located above the junction of Kalabaland, Sankalp and Yankchar glaciers. Ralam Dhura pass is situated to the south of this peak, which connects Ralam valley to Darma valley. This peak is characterised by steep ice-flutings and sharp ridges, so named as Peak of needles. This peak was first climbed in 2001 by an Indo-British joint expedition by two Britishers Graham Little and Jim Lowther. The Indian navy team was led by Lt. Cdr. Satyabrata Dam. The climbers who made the summit are Divyesh Muni, Lt. Amit Pande, Sherpa Nima Dorje, Lt. K S Balaji, Lt. Amit Rajora, Chera Rajkumar, A. Chaudhury, Sherpa Tsange, Puri and Nima Thondup.
