Jeeva Ravi
Jeeva Ravi is an Indian actor, casting director and television actor who has worked in Tamil-language films and television. He made a breakthrough as an actor with his performances in '' 3'' (2012) and '' Jeeva'' (2014), with the latter film being a prefix for his stage name. Career Ravi is the grandson of film producer G. M. Velumani, who made films in the 1950s and 1960s. Ravi began his career as a casting director, before acting in serials in STAR Vijay and Sun TV. He gradually moved on to feature in films and got his first major breakthrough by portraying Shruti Haasan's father in Aishwarya Dhanush's drama film, '' 3'' (2012). Kanda Shashti Kavacham or Skanda Sashti Kavasam ( ta, கந்த சஷ்டி கவசம்) is a Hindu devotional song composed in Tamil by Devaraya Swamigal (born c. 1820), a student of Meenakshi Sundaram Pillai, on Lord Muruga, the son of Lord Shiva, in Chennimalai near Erode. Tamil contains many ancient hymns in praise of deities. Kanda Sashti Kavasam was composed in the 19th century. History The hymn was composed in the 19th century by Balan Dhevaraya Swami. The place where Balan Dhevaraya Swami staged the hymn is the Chennimalai Subramania Swamy Temple near Erode in Tamil Nadu. The lines 'Chiragiri Velavan' in the hymn refers to the Lord of Chennimalai. Palani ( or ''Palni'' as in British records, is a town and a taluk headquarters in Dindigul district of the western part of Tamil Nadu state in India. It is located about south-east of Coimbatore and north-west of Madurai, from Kodaikanal. The Palani Murugan Temple or Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple (Thiru Avinankudi), dedicated to Lord Murugan is situated on a hill overlooking the town.
