Kaivantha Kalai
''Kaivantha Kalai'' is a 2006 Tamil-language comedy drama film written and directed by Pandiarajan. The film stars his son Prithvirajan, whereas Sruthi, Manivannan, and the director himself play other important roles. The film released on 15 June 2006 to positive reviews. Plot Kannan ( Prithvirajan) is in league with his father ( Manivannan) in duping the people in his village. He comes across Kausalya (Sruthi), a timid, schoolgoing Brahmin girl and falls for her immediately. From his grandfather, he learns that Kausalya's mom is his father's sister and becomes even more determined to wed her. Kausalya begins to like him too but asks him to mend his ways before they can get married. Pandiarajan is an Indian actor, director who has played leading roles in many humorous Tamil films and currently plays supporting and comedy roles. Personal life Pandiarajan was born to Sulochana in Saidapet, Chennai in a lower-middle-class family. He has two sisters, Maheshwari & Geetha. Karthik (born 7 November 1980) is an Indian playback singer and composer. Karthik started his professional singing career as a backing vocalist and has since been working as a playback singer. He has sung more than 8000 songs in 15 Indian languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Odia, Bengali, Marathi and Hindi. Early and personal life Karthikeyan hails from Tiruvarur district. He is a trained Carnatic music vocalist. He was part of a college band and regularly participated in IIT Madras Fest ''Saarang''. Shweta Konnur Menon (born 19 July 1979), known by her stage name Malavika, is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil films and a few Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films.
