Kaiser (Burmese Singer)
Kaiser ( my, ကိုင်ဇာ, ; also Kaizar; born 18 February 1961) is a Burmese singer-songwriter who was most popular in the late 1970s and mid-1980s. The ethnic Rakhine singer was arguably the most successful male singer in Myanmar in the early 1980s. His nonthreatening rockabilly songs were popular with the young and the old alike. He collaborated with leading songwriters of the day like Saw Bwe Mhu, Naing Myanmar, Soe Lwin Lwin, Maung Maung Zan, and Thukhamein Hlaing. His most successful songs were written by Naing Myanmar and Saw Bwe Mhu. Kaiser was also a successful songwriter, who penned many commercially successful songs for top singers of the day, including May Sweet, and Maykhala, his wife in the mid-1980s. Most of his songs were of his own creation although he also sampled and covered Western rock-and-roll hits, most notably those by the Beatles. Yankin Township
Yankin Township ( my, ရန်ကင်း မြို့နယ်, ) is located in the north-central part of Yangon. The township comprises 15 wards, and shares borders with Mayangon township in the north, Thingangyun township and South Okkalapa township in the east, the Inya Lake, Bahan township and Mayangon township in the west, and Tamwe township in the south. Maykhala
May Kha Lar ( my, မေခလာ, ; also spelled Maykhalar) is a Burmese singer who was one of the most popular Burmese pop vocalists in the 1980s. Her stage name is derived from Manimekhala, a Buddhist goddess. She is known for her Burmese language covers of Western pop songs as well as ''original'' Burmese songs. Early life and education She was born on 2 May 1963 to Phe Phe Kyaw, a pilot, and his wife Phyu Phyu Shein. Her childhood pet name was "Nge Nge" (ငယ်ငယ်). In 1983, she graduated with a BA degree in the Burmese language. Music career During her second year in college, she was encouraged by faculty to sing a cover of Nwe Yin Win's "Love Is..." Rakhine State
Rakhine State (; , , ; formerly known as Arakan State) is a Administrative divisions of Myanmar, state in Myanmar (Burma). May Sweet ( my, မေဆွိ; ; born Swe Aye Myint ( ) on 13 February 1962) is a Burmese singer and actress, and considered one of the most commercially successful female singers in the history of Burmese pop music. She is most famous for her Burmese covers of Euro disco and American rock and pop songs as well as classic Burmese songs from the pre- and post-war eras.
