Kairana Assembly Constituency
Kairana Assembly constituency is one of the 403 constituencies of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, India. It is a part of the Shamli district (prior to 2012, Kairana was a tehsil of Muzaffarnagar district) and one of the five assembly constituencies in the Kairana Lok Sabha constituency. Kairana Assembly constituency came into existence in 1955 as a result of the "Final Order DC (1953-1955)". The extant and serial number of this constituency was last defined in "Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 2008". Nahid Hasan
Nahid Hasan is an Indian politician and a member of the 18th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He was also a member of the 16th and 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. Hasan represents the Kairana constituency of Uttar Pradesh and is a member of the Samajwadi Party. Early life and education Nahid Hasan was born in a Muslim Gurjar family of Kairana in the district of Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. Hasan holds Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Holmes Institute in Sydney. His father Chaudhary Munawwar Hasan was an MLA in the 11th and the 12th legislative assemblies of Uttar Pradesh as well as a Member of 11th and 14th Lok Sabha and became Rajya sabha member from 1998 till 2003. The Janata Party (Secular) was an Indian political party founded by Raj Narain in July, 1979. On 16 July 1979, Charan Singh assumed its leadership and became the Prime Minister of India on 28 July 1979 with the support of the Indian National Congress (I) but resigned on 20 August 1979 after their withdrawal of support. The Janata Party led by Charan Singh was later renamed as Lok Dal before the 1980 Indian general election but officially contested in the elections under its previous name. The Janata Party ( JP, lit. ''People's Party'') was a political party that was founded as an amalgam of Indian political parties opposed to the Emergency that was imposed between 1975 and 1977 by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of the Indian National Congress. In the 1977 general election, the party defeated the Congress and Janata leader Morarji Desai became the first non-Congress prime minister in independent modern India's history. Hukum Singh
Hukum Singh (5 April 1938 – 3 February 2018) was an Indian politician who served as the Member of Parliament from Kairana in Uttar Pradesh as a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate. He was a member of the Panel of Chairpersons of the 16th Lok Sabha, and the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Water Resources. Life Singh was born on 5 April 1938 to Maan Singh and Leelavati in Kairana. He received his Bachelor of Arts and LLB degrees from Allahabad University. Singh married Rewati Devi on 13 June 1958, with whom he has five daughters. He was previously elected as a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly for seven terms (1974–77,1980–89,1996-2014).
